Felicia began dancing at the age of 3, and has been fully submersed in the culture since then. As a competitive dancer for 8 years, she fell in love with the creativity and discipline it instilled in her, and she knew her journey in the dance world was truly just beginning. She was accepted into the dance programs at York & Concordia University, however she knew her true passion was in the growth and development of children, which lead her to the Dance Masters of America Teacher Training Program (levels I & II graduate). Felicia is a successful teacher and choreographer, often being recognized for her clean and crisp routines. Her students have won numerous overall high score awards both in solos and groups, and have been selected as scholarship recipients. She also has students who were chosen to represent Team Canada in tap, jazz & showdance. Felicia has received multiple choreography awards both in Canada and the United States with recognition for routines in jazz & contemporary. In 2012 she was granted the opportunity to choreograph for Canada’s Walk of Fame, emerging artists showcase. Felicia is delighted to join the team at MKJDA, and is looking forward to educating, inspiring and creating with her fellow faculty and students.
